Cat6 Bulk Cable
Cat6 cable is the standard for the today's high speed gigabit Ethernet networks. It has backwards compatibility and expected to support 10 gigabit network in future. Cat 6 bulk cable is mainly available in three different types, -- Solid, Standard and plenum. All these types of cable have its specific pro and cons.
Solid is most commonly used cat6 cable which is comprised of a PVC jacket and solid core conductors. It allows cat6 cable to run long distance and at the same time maintain performance. But due to this it reduce its flexibility and the number of times it can be flexed before breaking. Solid cat6 cable is perfect for permanent installation application. In this once it installed it won't move much.
Standard cat6 cable is covered up of PVC jacket and standard core conductor which makes it very flexible. Because of its flexibility it can be flexed many times without any negative effects. On the basis of performance it is perfect for building patch cable.
Plenum cat6 cable has also solid core conductor but it is built with a low smoke, fire retardant jacket. Just because of this feature it is safe for use in Plenum Air Spaces. It is safe but on the hand it is costly too.
Bulk cable cat6 350 Mhz is ideal for critical network installation. In accordance with NEC Article, this cable can be installed in air plenums and ducts. This cable is UL listed and is compliant to EIA/TIA category 6 draft.
Cat6 bulk cable is perfect for data, voice, video and security network installation. Here extra bandwidth is required hence this network cable is perfectly suits for this. Cable meets with the TIA/EIA 568B performance requirements for Cat 6 cable. This bulk cable is tested up to 500 Mhz which is ideal for use with 10/100Base, 1000Base-T and 10GBase-T high speed Ethernet network installation. It is available as shielded (STP) or unshielded (UTP) twisted pair. You can find it in a variety of colors for easy identification. Cat6 cable bulk is commonly utilized twisted pairs (UTP).
